« Today is Military Spouse Appreciation Day | Main | For Those Interested In Background To The Intel Debate »
A Brief Introduction
It has been a while since I posted more than a comment, but I thought I should take the time to do two things. The first, is to once again thank Blackfive for his kind invitation to continue posting here. The second is that a wise and thoughtful Lady pointed out that I had failed to introduce myself. For those interested in knowing more, read on.
Unlike the others, who have cred, coin, and scars from the elephant, I have never served my country in uniform (advanced ROTC does not count). That said, as a civilian I have five static line jumps, earned my pilot's wings, earned a military expert rating with M-16 and issue pistol (AF, would love to pass Marine Expert one day), and know a bit about aerospace and intel matters. My day job involves communications, and I don't know what it says about said day job that I find going in with a pack of wolves not only less stressful, but positively relaxing.
You can find out more about me at my own blog where I will discuss matters of cooking, discussions on media and media matters, a special media segment on saving Pvt. Journalims, space commercialization, and a lot more.
Reasonable questions answered reasonably, and if you want the full tales of some of the above (or possibly just full of it tales), then buy me a good ale or three and hang on.
Oh, and for the screamers in the comments of late: I have tried to enlist several times since 9-11, sought age waivers, and even tried some back channel efforts. Some, like certain docs, have tried to tell me that my days of jumping out of planes, going 25 miles in a day at 10k or higher with more than 50 pounds on my back, or doing marksmanship are well behind me. To them all I say, not hardly. If we meet in person, I'll buy a beer for the person who first gets the reference...
LW
who does plan to post more once he deals with some projects at the day job. Where did I leave that stake, garlic, and holy water...
