Will Hamas and the Palestinians go hungry?

Unsurprising that the Cap Times board is pro-Palestinian, the Israelis being another evil, imperialist aggressor like the US. But I have a question about the Palestinians, why can't they do anything at all for themselves?

These are certainly the most bone-useless people on the planet. They have lived like a trailer park full of refugees for 50 years, while they wait for somebody to push the Jews into the sea for them. They produce nothing but squalor and suicide bombers and now they have democratically elected a terrorist group to run their "government" although calling it a corruption syndicate would be more accurate. Both Israel and the US have decided that if the Palestinians wish to formalize what the rest of the world has known for decades, that they are a terrorist state, well...so be it. But although we do recognize the government we are by no means under any obligation to help fund it.

The Cap Times quotes that friend of tyrants Jimmah Cahtah:

"the likely results (of not paying the terrorists) will be to alienate the already oppressed and innocent Palestinians, to incite violence, and to increase the domestic influence and international esteem of Hamas. It will certainly not be an inducement to Hamas or other militants to moderate their policies."

Because they have been so amenable to moderating their policies in the past. I really hold out hope that Hamas can change it's spots and become a liberalizing force, but they have to step up to the plate first. I read that the election of Hamas was not an approval of it's terrorist methodology, but an embrace of it's social services delivery. OK, fine, then take all the kill the Jooos atuff out of your charter people! Pretty simple, accept the judgment of the rest of the planet, put Israel on your maps and stop teaching your kids to hate.

"Knowing that Hamas would inherit a bankrupt government, U.S. officials have announced that all funding for the new government will be withheld, including what is needed to pay salaries for schoolteachers, nurses, social workers, police and maintenance personnel," noted Carter.

Oh and maybe you ought to develop an economy that can support itself, instead of sponging off the liberal guilt of the Western world and the table scraps your rich Arab kin toss your way. Pay for your own damn cops, I do, the Israelis do, why can't you clowns? Oh because you are wards of the UN and live in 40 year old "refugee camps" that's right. You can't be held responsible because the Jews stole your land, Oh wait again, that was the UN too. Hmmmm I wonder why the Palestinians are so freakin' helpless?

I would favor writing these folks a nice fat check just as soon as I see their head maroon holding a document detailing their acceptance of an Israeli state and their renunciation of a mythical right of return. Do that and I will listen, until then good luck with those sewers, oh mighty providers of social services. Continue to spend your time blaming your dysfunction on the Jews and their American allies, and we will just wait you out. You'll get hungry before we will.
