Iran wins prize for "Most Brazen Lies"- A genuine Tomahawk missile

Posted By Uncle Jimbo

Proving they have a keen sense of the obvious The Telegraph reports:

The man who for two years led Iran's nuclear negotiations has laid out in unprecedented detail how the regime took advantage of talks with Britain, France and Germany to forge ahead with its secret atomic programme.

In a speech to a closed meeting of leading Islamic clerics and academics, Hassan Rowhani, who headed talks with the so-called EU3 until last year, revealed how Teheran played for time and tried to dupe the West after its secret nuclear programme was uncovered by the Iranian opposition in 2002.

So the mighty, old Europeans, who stepped in to show us how to fix Iran, stepped in it. The Iranians were lying the whole time, whoo, good thing I was sittin' down when I heard that, I mighta' passed out and hurt myself.

I have long considered diplomacy to be one of the more hypocritical endeavors. It boils down to formal lying in formal wear, and while obviously it has purposes, for vital issues it is often useless. Both partners must share goals that can be simultaneously achieved. The Iranian goal in the current embarassment is to achieve nuclear weapons by any means necessary, and consequently there is no diplomatic solution possible. This is not a failure of US policy or even a failure of Old Euro diplomacy, both did what they could. But now the solution to the Mullah's desire for a nuclear smiting tool will not be negotiated, it must be imposed.

The next step in the multi-lateral farce is referral to the UN Security Council, which promises to give the Iranians more opportunities to lie about their intentions. More time can be wasted and more progress on the Jew-removal doomsday machine can be achieved. Nobel Peace prize loser Mohammed El-Baradei will refuse to state the simple fact that no collection of bribes and flowery language is going to convince the religious whack jobs running Iran that Allah doesn't want them to build him a bomb.

So what do we do? I think it's time for some precision strike weaponry. Obviously the Iranians have dispersed their facilities ,and we could not completely destroy the program. But we can certainly put a hurtin' on it, and send a perfectly clear message to the Mullahs that if we don't think you are playing fair, then you could take a shot right in the mouth bone. I wouldn't even be opposed to a little "Celer, Silens, Mortis" action with some special operators hitting the juiciest location and scarfing up a couple of scientific know-it-all types for a little Q&A.

Might predispose them to be a little more honest the next time they sit down to parley, eh?
