Vote Blackfive- A kitten in every pot

Since Matt would never write a post shamelessly shilling for votes in the 2005 Weblog Awards, and he certainly wouldn't stoop to using a cute animal, I will. Go and vote, early and often (daily).

Since Mudville Gazette got bumped to the big leagues, Blackfive is the best of an excellent group of Milblogs, and don't forget to check out all the rest over at Milblogging.com where the Milbloggies are finishing up (Blackfive is cruising). I have always looked at those two blogs as my mainstream media, like a couple of Fox News affiliates broadcasting all the reality the elite media disdain to cover, since it sinks their agenda. Were it not for the rise of Milblogs almost no good news about Iraq, Afghanistan or anything else related to the military would be available. After beginning as a way for those serving to let those at home know what they were up to, Milblogs now serve as a vital adjunct to TV and print journalism. They are a proven resource with the best information available anywhere on conditions, progress and reality where our troops are operating. We can make sure this trend continues by reading and discussing all these great info and analysis sources, and as the old media loses it's last shreds of credibility and it's monopoly, Americans and the world will know where to get the truth.

This year's finalists are an amazing group and they and all the other incredible Milblogs deserve our thanks for providing an antidote to the anti-war, anti-American garbage coming from far too many directions. If for some reason you haven't been reading these folks, take the time and you will be richly rewarded. Then go vote for Blackfive or the kitten gets it, or not. And no holding the swill I have put up here lately against Matt, I hacked his Typepad account to get access and he has been trying to shoo me out ever since. Congrats to all the finalists.
