Manchester Terrier was at the Red Cross Evacuee center in San Antonio and has a report and some suggestions - the Red Cross needs food and people to help.

And, where are all the soldiers?  Contrary to some opinions being vented in the MSM, they are mostly in the US.

Mac at Pull on Superman's Cape has some photos of some other harsh living conditions...

And don't forget to help Soldiers' Angels take care of the guardsmen coming home to Louisiana and Mississippi...

Update:  Heidi of Euphoric Reality is reporting from the Houston Astrodome via podcast.  Some of the homeless in the Astrodome are vets.

There, he became expert in detecting, avoiding, and surviving L-shaped ambushes, before dropping out to be as entrepreneurial as he could be. He is now the founder of a software startup serving the insurance and construction industries, and splits time between Lake Tahoe, Boonville, and San Francisco, CA.
