SGT Hook Update

For those who are wondering, SGT Hook and family are doing well.  Hook is learning how to be a Sergeant Major.  I believe this week his class load is full with The Art of AssChewing Junior Officers and the highly sought How to Make Coffee So Dense It's Mud...

All kidding aside, I stay in touch with him.  He's good, just really, really busy.

For those who don't know Hook, it seems that at the beginning (a few years ago) it was Smash (Kuwait and Iraq - the original MilBlogger), Greyhawk (Iraq - "the Grandfather of us all"), Hook (Afghanistan) and me (O'Neil's Pub - Chicago).

Hook started Operation Shoe Fly with his Chinook crewdogs while in the 'stan to provide used shoes to the Afghani kids.  Here's an article about Shoe Fly, Sergeant Major Jim Thomson, the Soldier with a heart of gold.
