Batman Begins
...possibly the best.superhero.movie.ever.
Haven't done a movie review in awhile. Filmed in Chicago and then digitally altered to look like Gotham City, the first car chase runs by my old condo. Scenes feature lower Wacker Drive, the Wrigley Building, and the Sun Times Building (soon to be Trump Tower).
Anyway, going along with the more recent trend to humanize action heroes (Wolverine, Spiderman, etc), Batman Begins is no different. You learn an awful lot about how Bruce Wayne became Batman and got all of those cool gadgets.
The difference in this movie is the acting (as for great acting, Gary Oldman plays Police Officer Sergeant Gordon - later Commissioner Gordon - Michael Caine is Alfred, Rutger Hauer, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, etc.) and the way the story is woven between Back Story and Present and Foreshadowing.
Good movie.
