The 2004 Weblog Awards
The results are in (with a few close exceptions that may have not been decided yet) for the 2004 Weblog Awards.
This was the first year for a Military Weblog (or MilBlog) category. Blackfive was a candidate and so were these fine blogs (please visit/blogroll them):
Smash, Froggy Ruminations, The Donovan's Argghhh!, 2Slick's Forum, Blogs of War, Sgt Hook, Democratic Veteran, Colby Buzzell's My War, Marine Corps Moms, A Day In Iraq, Incoherent Ramblings, Murdoc Online, A Collection of Thoughts, and The Common Virtue.
Next year, I predict a Battle Royale between 2Slick, Froggy and American Soldier.
A sincere thank you to all who voted for a MilBlog (and brought about a new category for the Awards) and, if I audio blogged, you could hear the ice chink as I tilt my celebratory glass of Johnny Walker Black to those who voted for this blog. Thank you.
