What If They Were Women?
Candidates in Drag
In honor of the debate tonight, these are making the email circuit...thanks to Roger for these. Too bad we couldn't make debating in drag one of the requirements in the 36 page debate doc. Someone could've slipped it in there...

Oh the humanity, my eyes, my eyes!!!!!
Remember the good old days when we just made fun of Kerry's orange make-up? This calls for a makeover from Industrial Light and Magic, they did wonders for Chewbaca.

John Edwards looks very Russian-mail-order-bride. I like it.
Posted by: Luther Luscious | September 30, 2004 at 05:51 PM
Wow. They are ugly, ugly, ugly women. Damn. Where the hell did I put that hot poker for my eyes????
Posted by: Kathleen A | September 30, 2004 at 06:03 PM
Aiieee! I'm trying not to be biased, but Kerry is the ugliest.
Images that will, unfortunately, remain with me for life.
Posted by: Frank DiSalle | September 30, 2004 at 09:16 PM
I think Cheney kind of looks like Janet Reno. All of them in drag... shudder. Bleh!
Posted by: Boudicca | September 30, 2004 at 09:28 PM
Dick Cheney could be a double for Linda Tripp or a double for Kelsey "Frasier" Grammer's daughter.
Let's face they are pretty ugly as women. Kerry looks like someone took a beer bottle to the side of the face -- jeez get some nip and tuck done!

Somehow I expected that girly-man Edwards to look a little better...
Posted by: Harvey | October 01, 2004 at 07:17 AM
Bush looks like Doris Kearne Goodwin.
Posted by: GREG | October 01, 2004 at 08:38 AM
Hmmm.
Ok. I am officially scarred for life. :)
Posted by: ed | October 01, 2004 at 09:13 AM
Is it just my overactive imagination, or does Bush in drag look like Tuhreyza?
Posted by: Rex | October 01, 2004 at 12:24 PM
I agree w/Harvey - I thought Edwards might be able to pull it off.
Kerry was by far the ugliest (not that I'd touch any of them)...
Posted by: Clancy | October 01, 2004 at 12:24 PM
Huh. I was gonna say that Cheney in drag looks frighteningly like Madeleine Albright.
Posted by: Dana | October 01, 2004 at 01:36 PM
Bush in drag actually looks kind of like my late mother-in-law on a very bad day; Cheney looks like a substitute teacher we had in elementary school lo these many years ago. She was stout, Jewish, redheaded, and had a disconcerting habit of flicking out her tongue every other sentence, the way Kerry is supposed to (I've never watched him.)
And Kerry, ghastly as he is, looks better as a hula girl than he does in real life.
Posted by: Annalucia | October 01, 2004 at 04:06 PM
Cheney looks like the poster child for NOW and NARAL. Scary.
Posted by: Amy King | October 03, 2004 at 12:58 AM
Why did you do that?
I had actually gotten through 24 hours without taking a drink. Now I have fallen off the wagon and it's ALL YOUR FAULT!
YOU ARE A CRUEL, CRUEL MAN.
My esteemed spousal unit talks about Kerry flicking his tongue, Annalucia. I too have never noticed this, but I make fun of him endlessly for noticing it before I did...
