Will Somebody Show This Guy A Map?

A certain Senator thinks that the solution for every problem in Iraq is to bring in more troops from other countries. Would more allied troops and less American troops have prevented the breakaway Shia uprising?

For some perspective, back in January, I blogged about the breakdown of allied troops in Iraq.

Now, we get this from Presidential Candidate, Senator John F. Kerry:

Kerry Says Bush Should Seek Help on Iraq

MILWAUKEE - As the Bush administration and military commanders considered whether to send more troops to Iraq to deal with rising violence, Democrat John Kerry said President Bush should ask other countries for help.

"That's common sense," he said. "And here today, once again, we are asking the question, 'Why is the United States of America almost alone in carrying this burden and the risks which the world has a stake in?'"...

We're not alone. And, in fact, I think that most of our commanders would like to keep things the way they are with one exception: Add more American troops and more funds for reconstruction.
