Happy Birthday, President Reagan
"The house we hope to build is not for my generation but for yours. It is your future that matters. And I hope that when you are my age, you will be able to say as I have been able to say: We lived in freedom. We lived lives that were a statement, not an apology."Today is President Ronald Reagan's birthday. He is 93.
Since the onset of Alzheimer's, it's understandable that we haven't really seen or heard from him. So, for the last few years, when I think of him, I remember being a Sergeant in the 80's. I remember thinking that we have a President worthy of leading the military, his country, the Free World...I remember these words:
General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate!Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate!
Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!
May God Bless You and Happy Birthday, Mr. President.
