Dean's VP Choice

Posted By Blackfive

You can file this under "Meaningless Predictions"...there's a lot of speculation about who would be Dean's choice for VP. A lot of people are predicting that VP slot would go to retired Army General Wesley Clark in order to bring more military and foreign policy experience to the table.

I heard a rumor from a credible Democrat source (okay, it's my brother) that believes that Dean's choice might be retired Marine General Anthony Zinni. I was surprised. Zinni was Bush's special envoy to Israel awhile back to help resolve the crisis there. Then, I read a prediction by a columnist in the Chicago Sun Times that Dean's folks were looking at Zinni. And that Zinni wasn't so happy with Bush and Cheney.

Of course, we'll have to wait and see who is actually the Democrat nominee. Some think that Dean is a foregone conclusion, but I don't think he has the nomination sewn up just yet.
