Blackfive Is Underwhelmed With Over-saturation

I have been wondering about our saturation points. We get hit with tv, radio, newspapers, magazines, blogs, billboards, etc., all day, every day. You hear the radio on your alarm clock in the morning, watch tv while getting ready for work, hear the radio in the car to and from work, see billboards on the highway to and from work. Etcetera Ad Nauseum.

It's no wonder that we end up associating the things that we've been sold with the things that are a part of our every day lives.

About three or four weeks ago, an elderly lady that I was in an elevator with said, "You look like Russell Crowe." As much as I hate to admit it, I perked up a bit at this statement. She continued, "...but not in that Eye-talian movie."

Blackfive: "You mean not in 'Gladiator'?"

Hhmm, maybe Proof of Life.

Old Lady: "Yeah, you look like him in that other movie about 60 minutes."

Blackfive: "You mean 'The Insider'?"

Old Lady: "Yeah."

Thanks a ton, lady. I look like an older, fatter, mottlier Russell Crowe. Most Excellent.

I noticed that I started paying more attention to Heather's physical fitness advice after that one...
